This shoot was a chance for me to be able to express my vision and style not only for my creative satisfaction, but also so that you can see my style, coloring, editing, and creative prospective. I pushed the bounds of anything I had shot before this so that you could know what was possible. You don't have a bohemian wedding? That's totally fine. I've shot plenty of other styles. But if this is the style your looking for, you have definately come to the right place.
Joshua Tree Style Shoot
Once upon a 5 hour drive from Phoenix, Arizona I found myself in the tranquil and beautiful landscape of Joshua Tree National Park in California. The park, which expands much past what I thought it would, is more than an hours drive across, and I was in the heart of it.
After a light hike around the area and up a small hill I was joined by the fearless leader and organizer of the shoot Jane with @janeinthewoods. She had set out an invite on Instagram stories needing a videographer and I was overjoyed to work with someone who’s work I had admired from afar. Joining her was @lilchilita for makeup, @lindsay.michel for hair, @mikhelmarie for styling, @rootssea with jewelry, @burgundyblooms with the paper for the touching notes, and @kiefkief47 as the true bride to be.
We had such a good time searching around the park for gorgeous views and good lighting and I believe, as you can see from the film, we found just that! The couple was so fun which made it easy to have that chemistry flow that spurs creativity.
Several outfit changes later we wrapped things up as the orange sunset dropped below the horizon line.
I’m so happy to have been a part of this shoot and hope you enjoy the film as well!
